You light up my life

Saw this on the weekend and thought it deserved a post, it was really good to see lazer lights with out being in a club with heavy music and smashed up people. There is something about them that is so eye catching. This was actually done for virgin media, to celebrate broadband. It was free and no one was even there.

Cover me softly.

These are just beautiful! Gives a new meaning to the phrase read a book by its cover. Got these over at Crookedbrains blog.

It’s the mash potato post!

This week is from a band called Girl Talk, I discovered their music while in an Urban Outfitters, when I got my phones track ID application out to tell me what song is on. Apparently I’m not the only person who did this, must be good if people are trying to find out what the band is right!?

Once you pop it you cant stop it. literally!

This is something I found over at Scotts blog, which you can find here. It’s an exceptional interactive video. It’s refreshing to see something like this. The maker behind this is quoted to say “I got bored with the computer technique and a pre-formatted way of working”. Aren’t we all, I am glad someone’s doing something about it! But do try the interactive video it does bring it to life, you can find it here.

It’s the mash potato post

This week’s mash-up post is from Jamie T, singing Beyonce’s “If I Were A Boy”

I think he does a great job, the only thing I would say is you are a boy, so it’s a bit confusing.

Practical fashion

Fashion isn’t really seen as something practical, it’s more about how something looks then how comfortable it is. But what if you could have the best of both worlds.

This was a previous idea I had:

My next instalment to the series is stiletto storage:

One more... the Swiss Army Knife that every lady should have:

That's all for now

take 257 and action!

This advert that’s done by Wieden and Kennedy's Portland branch is something of a gem. You either want to be that man or be with him. But you cannot deny it is a great ad. But a little fact for you to think about is its in one shot and its not computer generated. It’s all real baby! The only bit that is fictional is the diamonds falling through the hand. Even him moving onto the horse is part of the one take! When the bathroom is lifted you can see it’s a set but apart from that it’s flawless!

Not so cheesy!

An exceptional advert, true to the brand and makes me laugh. The music has a key role to play in this. Rocky music in my eyes may have been over used but never the less it’s great to see a mouse pressing weights.

And then we have this one, similar truth except the other one is more memorable as it plays with the name. but I do love the slow motion!

I wish my Ipod looked and did this!

New take on beat boxing!

...and now for the live show...

Cause if you liked it then you should have put a thing on it

Great bit of penis drawing! What’s the obsession with drawing a penis? We draw then on foreheads, on blank pieces of paper, even on toilet doors.

This advert is well thought out, hits the target market, funny with a serious issue to talk about. The music is brilliantly done, and reminds me of early Disney cartoons.

And then we have this, The Dick scene from Superbad.

Ouch!

This is a great strategy, and a clever piece of self advertising, I would defiantly give him some money.

ssssshhh cinema

This is something that was passed onto me through Facebook, different locations, different films but all a secret. You are given hints weeks before the event of what the film might be, you are told to dress accordingly. The location and people are transformed into whatever theme the film is. Here is the website with some more videos and how to join.

t-war

Nice use of stop motion animation. Stop motion has always captured me, mainly because of the time and precision that goes into it. I always wonder if it wasn’t stop motion would it be as interesting, because we know they have spent 2 days doing this, does it seem more exciting. Anyway I love interaction of animation and humans.

What’s funny is you don’t even notice it’s a music video.
